Sunny Weekend

No one appreciates the sun more than Portlanders.  Well, Seattle might be one of our competitors. You won't find a soul inside when the sun shows up here.  This weekend we played all weekend in the sun.   Bug and Dan came out to cheer on Kevin in a soccer game on Saturday and we soaked up the sun.

Easter morning Kev and I got up early to go for a run.  When we stepped outside the sun was there to greet up.  I almost cried.  Literally, almost cried.  I had tears in my eyes as I looked at the beautiful sunrise!  We worked out, eat brunch, and lazied around until we headed to church to worship and remember that our Savior lives! To makes things even better, the sun was still out when we got out of church at 7:30pm!  What an amazing weekend!

Come again soon, Sun.  We love you here in Portland.

InstaFriday Food

This week has been full of cooking, cooking and more cooking! My sweet co-worker and good friend is pregnant with her second baby and last night I, along with our other Co-Worker, Heidi, threw her a work shower!  Heidi was in charge of making everything fabulous, which she did! And, I was in charge of the meal! YIKES, talk about intimidating.  Cooking for your office!  I will dedicate a full post to this awesome baby shower next week!

So, most of my instafriday pictures will be of food and then I will throw in a couple other goodies from the week!  I made it to Friday, and I can't wait to sleep until my little heart's content this weekend! Maybe I can even convince Kev to take me out for a couple meals! I am cooked out! Enjoy your weekend! Sun is in Portland's forecast! Yahoo!!

The Baby Shower Menu! I practiced on Sunday, prepped on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday was the big show!
Black Bean hummus! Kev is probably real sick of testing this recipe

Baby shower flowers! Spring is in the air!

Chocolate Moouse.  Thank you, Julie Child for the strong arm muscles I got from making this recipe.

Ok- we are getting closer! I have almost successfully brought you through marriage memory lane!

So, Kev and I had two goals for our wedding:
1. We wanted everyone that attended to know our Love for Christ Jesus
2. To be one of the funnest weddings of all time!!!
We felt like we accomplished our first goal with our ceremony! I had several dreams, no- night mares, that NO ONE came to our wedding or NO ONE had fun.

I didn't want my nightmares to come true....

It was a dream, but no nightmare! Goal #2, accomplished!
